Mississauga

Anjappar Chettinad Canada is seeking to hire South Indian cooks:

Location: 4310, Sherwood Towne Blvd Mississauga, Ontario, L4Z 4C4

Position: South Indian Cuisine Cook

Job Duties: Prepare and Cook south Indian cuisine dishes, side and main orders, sauces, oversee buffet, direct specialty cooking activities of establishment, plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards, estimate food requirements, supervise kitchen helpers and monitor kitchen activities.

Salary: $22 per hour (8 hours per day may be required to work on shifts) 40 hours work week.

Candidate Skills requirement: Minimum 5-7 years of verifiable commercial cooking experience working as a south Indian cuisine cook in a restaurant or hotel setting, knowledge of south Indian cuisine and ingredients in preparation of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian south Indian cuisine dishes is required. Only interested eligible candidates will be contacted and may be required to make themselves available for a cooking trial demonstration.

  • Candidate must have the ability to work independantly without supervision, must be able to plan menus, oversee buffett, and prepare individual, complete and special dishes on menu.
  • Salary $22.50 per hour + benefits.
  • Minimum 40 hours per week, must be available to work on shifts.
